Location - Introducing Moreso Manor
The location is an Danish manor with history back from 1402 and the main building is built in 1875. There is a huge park where tents will be set up and a forest to play in for those interested.
The location is not mobility friendly, since we also play outside in a big park.
There will be dark corners in the location. If you have any questions about if we can accomodate your accessibility needs, please reach out by email.
Investing in the future of larp
I (Katrine Wind) together with Alexander Bakkensen have acquired a former boarding school built in and around a manor house in Mors, Denmark. We are turning it into Moreso Manor, founding a venue dedicated for larps and other immersive experiences all year round.
Our approach is simple: The organisation behind Spoils of War is spending exactly the same amount of money on the venue for this larp as we did with the old one. The difference is that instead of paying a non-larp venue, the money now goes towards running, maintaining and gradually improving Moreso Manor. Thus, the idea is that the money from larp events is put back into the community, making conditions for running future larps at the location better.
Our short-term ambition is to make the existing buildings and facilities work well for larps, improve accommodation and event spaces, and welcome other organisers who want to use the venue. Larps will be prioritised over all other possible events.
Our long-term ambition is to create a flexible, affordable and sustainable home for (international) larp. A place for historical drama, science fiction, social realism, experimental storytelling and medieval tents in the park. It should be a place where organisers can bring their own worlds to life. The venue consists of 6000 m² of buildings of different kinds and 70.000 m² of land dedicated to larp and larpers. We aim to store all kinds of scenography and costumes so that organisers and players can reuse them without having to buy new things or transport large amounts from all over. We also aim to install permanent resources like a blackbox and general sound equipment.
Hopefully, larp organizations and larpers will own many more venues in the future, and we hope to help make that vision slightly more accessible!
While our motivation is to invest in the future of a hobby that has given us so much; Moreso Manor is privately owned (and so is the risk), and so it needs to be financially sustainable. So the more larpers seek out a place like this and use it, the quicker it can serve as a base for all kinds of different larp events.
We do not wish to establish ourselves as professional larp writers and -organisers and are currently still working day jobs. We still create Spoils of War as a volunteer effort and create larps in general because we love the hobby – now we just happen to also own the venue it is being held at and want to share that space with you!
This is just the beginning!
We’ll be sharing much more about Moreso Manor, our plans for the venue, and the opportunities for other organisers to create their own events here in the near future.
Follow the development, watch the transformation, and discover what’s coming next on Moreso Manor’s Instagram/Facebook/Website, which will be published soon.
One Place. Many Worlds.
Costumes for Daemon
You have to bring your own costume to Daemon. The larp is set in a “vintage steampunk” era. That means that both human and Daemon will be dressed in costumes from an ahistorical past that fits the description “vintage steampunk”.
This can entail fashion from the late 19th century to the middle of the 20th century. Feel free to mix and match any clothes, styles, and accessories from these decades for your outfit. This is all about creating the right look and feel that suits your character, rather than recreating any particular era. Think for instance dark academia, light academia, or history bounding.
As far as the steampunk look of the larp is concerned, this applies mainly to the sciences, tech, and gadgets.
One costume is more than enough but if you want to dress up extra, the first night from the beginning of the larp would be the time to do that.
The Daemon player will additionally wear make-up and costume parts so it’s clear what animal they are representing, but no full animal-makeup or costume is relevant or wanted in this larp. Body language and representation are the most important. The representation can be done with prostheses, make-up, wigs, costume parts like fur, feathers, tails and the like. Avoid any full suits or masks.

You can get inspiration from the pinterest board that Anna Katrine Bønnelycke and Kathrine Dahl have kindly put together. Be advised that it in no way has to as advanced as this.
Practicalities ingame
- It is meant quite literally that you can’t move physically far away from your counterpart in the larp, so if you need to go to the bathroom, they need to be right outside the door. If you need an offgame break, they will have to go with you. This means that you really should sign up with someone with whom you are comfortable and have calibrated expectations for the experience. There will be no exceptions during the larp.
- No serious injury or death will occur to any player characters unless the player and their partner choose to in the end of the larp
Practicalities offgame
- All communication and talking during the larp will be in English.
- The Human and Daemon player in a couple are expected to sign up together and will receive the same character sheet as their knowledge and experience is completely transparent – sharing each other’s thoughts has its perks!
- We fully acknowledge that it can be daunting to find a partner and maybe even get rejected in the process of asking someone. However, you are encouraged to sign up with a partner without any organizer help.
Location
The venue is a huge manor with sleeping quarters in two person rooms on the first and second floor. There is a dining hall and several lounges.

Travel
If you travel by car, there is plenty of parking space.
In case there is a great need for it, we will arrange a larp bus from either Copenhagen, Aarhus or Billund Airport. Travel needs will be inquired when spots have been assigned.
By train, it is 30 min from Skive station and 1 hour from Struer Station. Pick-ups can be arranged.
1h 50 min from Billund and Aalborg Airport.
1h from Karup Airport
The venue is an older building and it is not very mobility friendly. However, we are only playing on the ground level and you could be provided a room on this floor so you don’t have to climb stairs. All play rooms are on the ground floor. During much of the larp you will be able to sit down on chairs or couches.
If you want to enquire about accessability needs of any kind, please write an email to the team and we will tell you if we can accommodate your needs.
All communication will be in English both written before the larp as well as ingame and offgame.
The kitchen crew will cook three meals per day and there will be snacks available at all times. We will try to accomodate most dietary requirements, but there might be some that we are not able to cater to. Please be explicit in your sign-up form about this so we can evaluate whether we can cater to your dietary needs.
Meals provided
Friday afternoon: Afternoon coffee with cake (so bring your own lunch!)
Friday evening: Three course dinner (ingame)
Saturday breakfast: Breakfast buffet (offgame)
Saturday Lunch: One course meal (ingame)
Saturday evening: Two course dinner (ingame)
Sunday brunch: Breakfast buffet (offgame)
We will be serving non-alcoholic drinks. Alcohol will be available in some small amounts during the game (so beer, soda and wine) and included in the price.
You can bring your own drinks for after the game. You can also buy drinks at the location.
We expect you to not be drunk at any time during the larp. A little alcohol is alright, but being drunk will not be accepted. We reserve ourselves the right to remove you from the game if we deem you too intoxicated to participate in the larp in a safe manner.
You sleep in two person bedrooms and the rooms are off-game during the larp. Most of the beds are single beds. We sleep off-game both nights.
There are common showers and toilets in the hallways on all floors.
Until the 15th of January 2027, you can get a except for the deposit. If one of the pair has to sign off, the whole couple will have to unless another partner that is not flagged by the other players can be found for the remaining player.
After this time, the organizers will try to fill up with new people if you have to sign off, and you will get a refund for the amount that the reserve players can pay when it gets filled. You can not sell your own ticket.
Photography option has not been decided for this larp yet but we will take some pictures at least with mobile cameras – maybe we’ll have a photographer.
No generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in designing, writing or producing Daemon.
AI tools may be used by players for assistance, such as summeries for personal use, as long as the material is not published elsewhere or used to train AI models.
We trust participants to use good judgment and will not actively enforce this policy.
If you have any questions, please contact the organizer at daemon@narrators.eu.
Thank you!
A lot of people have helped to make this larp happen. All the players and helpers at the playtests in the summer of 2021 have made the larp into what it is today. It couldn’t have been done without them.
Also, thank you to
